Artist's Description

The origin of this totem pole appears to be the tree from which it is carved. In fact the totem pole is not carved from the cedar tree but by the trickery of photo editing has been made to appear as though it has been and as though it has emerged from out of the tree. As if it was born from the cedar or is borne by the cedar.
